He never really went into any formal affordable cosmetology school such as the Regency Beauty Schools, but with his portfolio, expertise and wide experience working with Hollywood Actors and Actresses, it was evident that he was truly one of the best make-up artists in the beauty, movie and fashion industries. I haven't leisurely shopped for quite a while now. You know the type where you just randomly go to a store because you were supposed to get important stuff for your house or your family such as cotter pins and what not. But then you realized/saw there were sales everywhere and you started grabbing some personal stuff. Yes, the mindless type of shopping. The funny thing is I do not have any interest at all going to department stores or the outlet even during weekends. I only go there when I need to buy something really important and urgent. I am one of those fair-skinned people who does not get a good tan after a beach trip. I usually turn very red if not sunburned. We were invited over a condo-warming of hubby's officemate. I am amazed by how much the young couple was able to maximize the space and even installed a wall fountain. Apparently, the guy is very ill due to some stress-inducing disease and that wall fountain can be soothing. I have survived the 1st quarter of the year without purchasing any purses. Remember my self-imposed purse shopping ban of 2 years? Surprise!

After almost 4 weeks of no weighing in, I was surprised to find out that I lost another 5 lbs! All of my hardwork working out even when I am so tired from work is paying off. Aside from that I am so glad that my jeans are getting lose and my skin is more glowing. Thanks to my new eating habits which of course, I wish I can sustain as long as I am alive. I may still be splurging on make-up shopping but I am so proud to tell you that I was able to commit to my 2012 New Year's goal of sensible shopping and self-imposed purse-shopping ban. Weee! You see, the hardest part was when Kate Spade went all out with their January clearance sale of up to 90%. There were a few items that I really really like and the price was tempting. But thanks to my EQ, I was able to control myself. Ok, enough rambling, back to this free vlc player.

I was surprised with dear hubby's initiative to plan for DS' 7th birthday celebration come May. I won't divulge any details at the moment because I believe in jinx hee hee. My eldest brother is my very first memory of a rock star, seriously he is. I would still remember those times when he would set up his g&l guitars along with his mini-drum set and would ask me to be the main singer of his make-belief rock band. Of course, I would oblige and was a happy camper then. Up to this point, this brother of mine would usually play the organ, guitar or the piano whenever he is stressed or just when he feels like it.

Long Driving

Last year, we were able to hit one of our goals and that is to buy our 2nd car, a SUV. Because of the Winter season, we have not really found time to drive it on a long driving getaway. But, we are planning on going somewhere far to test drive it, late next month just in time for hubby's birthday. Right now, we have about 3 choices and I am really hoping that before this week ends, we will be able to finalize that trip so I can book our hotel and also avail of this road trip medical assistance.

My brother just received his PR Card in Australia and he's planning on settling there mid of this year. I know my folks would be pretty sad because that means, all 3 of us now live overseas. But then again, they would have to have a very busy life, traveling in and out of our home country, visiting me and my siblings. As for me, I cannot wait to visit my brother in Australia once he is settled which I am sure he will be very soon. One of the things he is grateful is the overwhelming job offers he has been receiving as soon as he got his PR approved. He is a licensed Engineer and while he is not on the electronics department of the engineering field, he also welcomes companies who handles software development or electronic companies who are in charge in designing Prototype SMT Stencils etc...I wish him all the best in this new direction!

I was just meaning to check out what this letter and number combination: HJC SYMAX 3 meant when I decided to visit the Zara website to check on their current lookbook. Voila, the huge sale button welcomed me and found these flats on 75% off sale! tsk tsk! wrong decision to check the site when I have committed on minimizing my shopping purchases this year hee hee.
