I know I have mentioned a dozen of times here how much hubby loves interior designing and homes in general. He would never get tired treading each and every home finds and furniture. I am sure he cannot wait to own a home and I hope that would be soon. We once rented a home and he never treated it as a rented home but his own, he would invest on nice kitchen sets. When we moved, we had to sell some stuff and gave some to our closest friends and relatives.

Three months ago we got our own townhome. It is funny but hubby is investing on more and more furniture yet again. I always tell him not to invest anymore as we might move to another state or even country. However, no one can stop his interest on home and furniture. Basta for my hair, I use shampoo, conditioner (can't live without this) and a hair product depends on the season, I have wavy thick hair kasi. For my body and skin, dove is my only soap, for body wash, olay products and of course, I can't live without a moisturizer: Total Effects and Squibb Vit. E moisturizer. I clean my face with Cetaphil. Back home, I used to have monthly facials but here, it's a luxury so I scrub my own face with scrubs (any), milk, oatmeal (sometimes) and put on a masque. I brush my teeth 3x a day. I take a bath 2x a day. During winter 3x a week (LOL!) And of course, don't forget my collection of lotions (as in!!! hoarder ito) which I spread all over my body, walang parte na pinapalagpas. Explains my stretch mark free tummy kasi masipag talaga ako maglotion kahit super init at nagmamantika na ako haha! Nasanay ako sa nanay ko na masipag mag-lotion hehe. After almost 3 years of being a havi-fanatic, I have fallen out of love on this flip-flops brands and will start considering other tsinelas brand come Summer. Before I left Manila, I went Havaianas shopping even though my friends were telling me that I would not be able to use them here because of the weather. True enough, my 5 other Havis were kept in the closet for 1 year. I wore sandals during summer and forgot all about them. This pink one is the only Havis I get to wear because it is my home slippers. All of a sudden, last night, I almost tripped off because then strap was cut. This ends my love affair with the brand.

So long... But as they always say, love is lovelier the 2nd time around hee :).

Blue Crash

One of the movies that I love to watch over and over again is Blue Crash where it starred the very buffed Kate Bosworth! I swear when I watched it I almost want to enroll myself in a professional surfing classes and sport surfboard fins similar to what Kate Bosworth had in the movie. I tried to surfboard once but I failed, I had a hard time balancing myself and fall off the board several times, not to mention the fact that I fear waves so I guess it is a no no for me :(. If you want to dress up during Autumn, you cannot survive without a good pair of leggings. If you remember my previous post regarding my hunt for the perfect leggings, I was able to find one at TJ Maxx for only $5.00. However after 1 usage, it had a pretty long thread run uh-oh!

What to do what to do? I panicked at the thought that I was saving it up for my D.C. outfitS. So I went Forever21 shopping last Wednesday and got a lot in my loots: headbands, accessories, clips and other small stuff and these:

A black and a black/gray-striped fab stirrup leggings for only $6.50 each.

What is nice about these leggings is they gave me the perfect snag and fit :).

I used to be a big fan of graphic, art and digitally-designed cool t shirts and some funny t-shirts with nice fitting, (read baby tee). Until, the day I decided that t-shirts are for my grocery stops and running household errands, I stopped buying them and just focus my purchases on neat tops and blouses. I miss having pets at home. My toddler is showing signs that he wants one, irregardless if it is a dog or a cat. In fact he rescued an abandoned cat in the neighborhood by telling a maintenance staff about it. Apparently, the cat has been alone and was not eating for 3 weeks and they had to get him from the abandoned unit. Anyhow, the cat is all well now.

Oh boy was I amazed to see a picture of an old friend who was on the obese side and now is very healthy looking. She ain't stick thin or skinny yet but she would not pass for being on the heavy side. I am not really into cellphones and other gadgets. I have been vocal about this in my blogs. As long as I have what I need, the basics, I am fine by it. I do not understand the need to update or upgrade my gadgets. I would rather shop on other things than resell my old gadgets or trade them off into a newer one or more updated. However, I do understand gadget freaks, while I could settle on cheap at&t cell phones, I find it exciting to get a new and free Blackberry phones. My friend who availed for one is raving about her Blackberry Bold 9000. She has 2 jobs and her main job requires her to organize events of the company and she needed this PDA and cellphone/camera in one. Also, other than the features, she likes that it is so handy and price was worth it. As for me, I think if ever I get a Blackberry, I could settle on Nextel Blackberry Curve 8350i but for now I might as well shop for a designer bag, new shoes, clothes and accessories hee. Care to ask what my basic gadgets are? My laptop, Cellphone, DigiCam and MP3 player, they are all what I need to survive. No more no less.

You could not imagine how busy I am the past two days, I am actually taking a breather for an hour through online shopping. I still have not found the perfect black booties for our D.C. trip. I want one in black and VERY comfy since we will do a lot of walking. My boots are in brown, tan and plaid. I have one in black but it's leather and with heels. I may be online 18/7 and have been a computer-user for almost half of my life but I am not computer savy just yet. I only know the basics and when it comes to the more technical and serious computer stuff, count me out! One day I was really stressed out and was not getting any productive, so I decided to check out my closet and found out I have a lot of clothes with tags! Most of them were still in their paper bags. It is hard to deny that times are hard these days. With the current global economic crisis, it is but inevitable for some household to lack the income they need, moreso, unable to pay some basic bills and worst their mortgages, loans and what-have-yous. I know I have talked about this certain in-law who apparently was one of my favorite grade school teachers. Hubby and I only found out that he was related to hubby last Christmas and again, I was amazed by how small the world is. She is a teacher by profession and was awarded a couple of times because of this profession. Although, she has her own home already, she is thinking of investing in one of the Schumacher Homes Ohio. Yes, they are the ones related by blood but they have not met in person yet.

east coast living.

I have been living in the east coast for almost a year now, so far I am loving the slow-paced kinda life here. The only thing I do not like about here as compared to when I stayed in the west-coast is the cold chilly snowy weather. Also, I noticed that the houses here are more American in style than those houses in California, not to mention that the rates are also a bit lower. Hubby's Aunts and Uncles have houses of their own here and one of them is looking at investing in one more house as their son is getting married and they were thinking for giving him the new house. 1. Sort the Thanksgiving recipes I received from my Aunt-in-Law. I should better do this soon as November is approaching.

2. Pack-away toys and clothes for thrift stores donation.

3. Burn burn burn Important documents and Photos.

4. Clean up my closet and sort my shoe cabinet.

When I took an IT-related subject sometime in spring quarter of my graduate studies, I became knowledgeable on some computer-related terms. I had to be well-versed on this information in order to have a full understanding of the whole subject matter. It was so technical that at 1st, I thought
I would drop the course. But you see, our professor was kind enough to understand that some of us have zero knowledge on this subject matter. Actually, I have learned my way by surfing on sites that offer computer technical knowledge. Such as this: driver-library.com. One thing I love about Autumn is I get to bundle up without really covering in plenty of layers. getting back behind the wheels.

It is final, I would not be getting a car until I join the working pack by next year, around spring or summer. LandRover or Freelander are two of the model cars I am looking at getting. But hubby thinks I should get a simple one since I am not really a confident driver. However, I really like this Land Rover or a Freelander as they are type of vehicles that has on and off-road capabilities and they provide standard comfort to passengers. Also, aside from these cars being luxury vehicles, I have read a lot of positive feedbacks especially on Freelander. Whatever my choice of car would be, what is really important is that before getting my dream Freelander, I should practice my driving skills and get my license before the year ends.
