evolving

We have just set up our pine tree :). All we need was a tree to complete our small townhome. It actually filled up the big empty space in our living room. We were all giddy last night as we shopped for the last pieces of ornaments. Although, we have not completely finished it but we are getting there. Probably tonight :).

I was telling hubby that our home evolved into a modern zen type of home. It is funny because we did not plan for that. In fact we just buy what we need. Most of the time, they end up to be the most affordable and cheapest we can find. We have a tight budget and we do not plan to really investing on something bigger as we plan to move out of this city. You know how taxing it can be to move. I noticed that maybe since our previous home has that theme, the modern zen, I guess our sense of preference just comes out when we were buying furniture pieces.

By the way, hubby (as usual) was surfing on modern furniture and discovered GoContempo.com. It is the premiere destination for ultra modern furniture, lighting, and accessories. He was looking for modern lamps and lightings similar to the photo above. Apparently, 1 more lighting fixture is what we need to complete the look of our living room. However, the prices at GoCotempo do not fit our budget but we'd love to have one if only we could afford them. Although, hubby made mention that when we decide to buy a house and have the budget for one, he would not think twice about investing on designer furniture pieces.
