I was surprised with dear hubby's initiative to plan for DS' 7th birthday celebration come May. I won't divulge any details at the moment because I believe in jinx hee hee. Whatever that is, all I can say is that it would be a memorable celebration and I might just order some custom pins for memorabilia haha. So will you pray with me that this plan would push through? I bet my little boy will be very delighted.

boys will be boys

My eldest brother is my very first memory of a rock star, seriously he is. I would still remember those times when he would set up his g&l guitars along with his mini-drum set and would ask me to be the main singer of his make-belief rock band. Of course, I would oblige and was a happy camper then. Up to this point, this brother of mine would usually play the organ, guitar or the piano whenever he is stressed or just when he feels like it.

Outdoor Fun!

Today looks and feels like Spring! Very sunny and warm, but not too hot, just the right amount of warmth that you would love your kids to enjoy some outdoor activities. Could it be that Spring would come early this year? Well, I hope so because I have been checking out this site yoyoplay.com for yoyos amongst other toy stores online because I cannot wait for DS to have fun and play outdoors again.

Long Driving

Last year, we were able to hit one of our goals and that is to buy our 2nd car, a SUV. Because of the Winter season, we have not really found time to drive it on a long driving getaway. But, we are planning on going somewhere far to test drive it, late next month just in time for hubby's birthday. Right now, we have about 3 choices and I am really hoping that before this week ends, we will be able to finalize that trip so I can book our hotel and also avail of this road trip medical assistance.

Too Technical

My brother just received his PR Card in Australia and he's planning on settling there mid of this year. I know my folks would be pretty sad because that means, all 3 of us now live overseas. But then again, they would have to have a very busy life, traveling in and out of our home country, visiting me and my siblings. As for me, I cannot wait to visit my brother in Australia once he is settled which I am sure he will be very soon. One of the things he is grateful is the overwhelming job offers he has been receiving as soon as he got his PR approved. He is a licensed Engineer and while he is not on the electronics department of the engineering field, he also welcomes companies who handles software development or electronic companies who are in charge in designing Prototype SMT Stencils etc...I wish him all the best in this new direction!

Funny how I got derailed over lunchbreak while randomly surfing. I was just meaning to check out what this letter and number combination: HJC SYMAX 3 meant when I decided to visit the Zara website to check on their current lookbook. Voila, the huge sale button welcomed me and found these flats on 75% off sale! tsk tsk! wrong decision to check the site when I have committed on minimizing my shopping purchases this year hee hee. These flats are just $19.99 a pair, good deal indeed! Oh and yes, they now accept PAYPAL! Gah!

slim and toned

Dear hubby and I met up with an old friend 2 weeks ago. We were surprised to see him slim and toned because he used to be really overweight. I was even kidding DH that he is now bigger than our friend. I guess his hardwork paid off and because of that, we are giving him some cool and sexy tank tops for men this Christmas.

Many of my friends have given up their jobs and took their luck by taking a second course in a medical school and hopefully become nurses, Physical therapist or be able to grab one of these Emergency Medical Technician Jobs. We are just 30 minutes away from Black Friday. We planned to do everything online this year because stores will open midnight instead of the usual 5am. That is pretty too late or early for someone with a young kid in tow. So while waiting for the clock to hit 12:00, I am catching up with some blogging tasks and uploading some of DS' most recent videos through this youtube video downloader. You see, I have listed and planned out what and how I will spend my shopping money. There's nothing much on my list, in fact, I will only check 3 online stores for myself this year :P. Sephora for my girlfriends' stockings stuffers, my annual intimates shopping at Victoria's Secret and a blazer and winter jacket at American Eagle Outfitters. I can't wait!

clutter free

I had some free time today and instead of taking a nap, I decided to clean up our medicine cabinet and fridge. My main purpose was to check whether there were expiring medicines that I may have overlooked. Thank God, there weren't any. So, I sat down infront of my computer and Googled safe ways to keep medicine cabinet clutter free. Then I chanced upon this mom who wrote about actos cancer while she was pregnant. Apparently, the medicine has some side effects, hence this a lawsuit filed by mothers whose pregnancy were affected by the medicine and is being handled by reliable personal injury lawyers. This got to be the harshest Winter I have ever experienced, although I am still grateful that we were spared by the terrible Blizzard, but still, I am getting tired of the cold. Outerwear

I was supposed to look for gifts for girls, read: early Christmas shopping for the female members of our family but instead, I online window shopped for my outerwear: jackets & coats.
